Nissan 180SX Event Hunter Races

I just completed the first hunter race of chapter 4 with a PR of 426.

Here's how I did it;

1) Activate Nitrous as soon as possible and as often as possible.

2) Drift your turns as tightly as possible except for the one right after the jump.

3) Avoid hitting anything- it kills your acceleration.

This is my car:

Unfortunately, I didn't screenshot my car immediately after winning- I was so happy I passed that I kept racing until my tickets ran out.

P.S. I did not use gold to skip the race- I have precious little gold as it is. I also took it as a challenge to me and skipping the race would kill my inflated ego.

P.P.S. This is how I do unbalanced hunter races in general. The only one other thing you need to know;

You cannot accelerate while you jump, therefore you should not take jumps at the beginning of must win races- accelerate as quickly as possible.

  • well done, you've done better than me, i ended up skipping it cuz i'd already wasted 9 tickets trying to beat it and i was in trouble of not having enough time left to finish all of the days races, nothing i tried could could get me to beat it, the closest i came was losing by 0.13 sec

    just out of interest what was the pr of the opponent? it was showing as 527 for me

    what annonyed me though was i had my car at around 490pr and my opponent was finishing the race in around 25.20 sec, i spent some gold and got my pr up to around 515 but then all of a sudden my opponent started to finish in around 24.80 sec!

    once i'd got passed the first hunter race all of the other races including the other 2 hunter races were a breeze! seems like a preprogrammed bottleneck to make you spend gold if you ask me

    @richieluv76 The opponent's PR was 527 for me too.

    I think the AI adjusts it's racing skills according to your PR to keep it difficult- The closer your PR, the AI ups it's skill to widen the difference.

    It is probably, like you said, a preprogrammed bottleneck.

    Edit: Thank you for your congratulations- it may seem like a small thing but a nice word goes a long way.

    lol

    I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not- I'm bad at reading into sarcasm in general.

    In the event you are indeed, being sarcastic; I really did complete the race with a PR of 426.

    I can understand if you want to cast doubt on what you think is me trying to undermine a monopoly on skill- but really, I overcame that race out of sheer stubbornness.

    I apologize for hurting you through my words.

    The meme wasn't meant to be sarcastic. It was meant to be a good thing.

    I applaud you for treating the notorious Easy Hunter race as a challenge. That's what I like to see. :eahigh_file:

    Besides I have "thick skin". (If you know what that means)

    Nothing over the internet hurts my feelings. It's just a bunch of text on a screen. 😉
