No ATI Crossfire support

I've just started playing payback and noticed that ATI crossfire isn't enabled by default and it doesn't use my 2nd gpu. My setup worked fine on the last need for speed with crossfire on. I've gone into the radeon settings and tried to force cross fire on. This didn't work well and resulted in artefacts all over th screen.

Please can you tell me when crossfire will be supported? I don't want to buy the game if I cannot use crossfire.
