Agree with most of that - we are getting lots of Fastlane events (next one announced for the next week), which was fun for a while, but not for long. Regarding the SEs, I much more liked events with a story and with a great car. Huracán snow was my first one, Trippa's JagF was the one that I consider the most innovative. In the meantime, some of us finished the Campaign (which was called Underground back then) and maxed out some Super and Hyper cars, rendering all those half cooked event cars unusable. By repeating Blackridge Spirit even the LaF got to the point where it can be actually used, even though possibly noone can yet tune it.
Anyway, you may still get your replayable races for Camaro blueprints, as some people may still participate in that event.
And I do have too many materials as well - do not need most of them and race mostly for cash, so whenever I hit that limit, I go to the garage, sort them by the amount, and salvage about 40-100 off the first two pages...
