why are they making us create a new origin name for need for speed most wanted why cant i use my origin name i already have and ure put my password in it says that my name is already taken ur right it is taken BY ME!!!!

    Usually, this message appears in the process of creating a new account when clicking on "Register."

    Is this happening in the Origin client or Origin web site or on a specific platform?

    I confirm that you can use your existing account.

    If the email address for your PSN ID is different than the address for your Origin account, you will require assistance to properly link them.

    Also, regarding this error message, if you are unable to log in to Origin or anything that uses your Origin ID, your user name may contain invalid characters that the system cannot recognize.

    You will need to make sure your name only uses lower ASCII characters, which are:

    ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ 
    abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz 
    0123456789 
    _ - 

    Please note space is considered a valid character.

    You can change your Origin ID by using the online name change tool, www.origin.com/change-id, or by calling an agent.

      I'm getting the same problem.

      When I play Need for Speed Most Wanted in my XBOX 360.

      The game asks to provide an Origin ID and by default it fills in the field with my Xbox Live username, I change it to my Origin ID which is "Diaspar" and then the game says it's already taken.

      It never asks my Origin password and I never hit any "create new account", nor "register" button.

      Please advice.
