Double click on the "Windows" folder. 4. Double click on the "Temp" folder. 5. Hold the "CTRL" key and tap the "A" key to select all. 6. Tap the "Delete" key on your keyboard and accept the "Are you sure you want to delete these files" prompt. 7. Once done, press and hold the Windows key and the letter R 8. In the Run box type: %temp% and press Enter 9. When the folder containing all temporary files opens press and hold the CTRL button and the letter A to highlight all files in that folder 10. Press the Delete key. 11. When prompted to verify if the files should be deleted, click Yes. 12. Any files that cannot be removed can be safely ignored.

This is easily resolved in my case as i suspect will work for many others
Problems can occur when your pc system changes and it is this that affects the game in question.
If your game nfsmw2012 worked ok in the past and is now broken in some way, it will be because
of system changes perhaps not always because of EA, Origin or game updates, but your own
system changes ie: antivirus, windows updates but more importantly firewall program updates.
Go into your Firewall program settings and find all
Origin permissions
NFS13 permissions
and remove these permissions completely and close firewall program settings.
Restart need for speed most wanted 2012 and all the game will play.
All connections for autolog and the game will now work.
No other solutions worked i did this and everything works as it should.
Remember it was my pc system that changed and it will probably be yours
P.S Dont forget to give new Firewall permissions to :
nfs13.exe
Origin.exe
OriginClientService.exe
either manually or auto to your particular Firewall
Bad News i'm sorry to say this has not fixed the e0001 error .
I still receive the e0001 error on first attemp when loading the game.
I then go to autolog in game and connect fails, but after 2 or 3 attemps it becomes connected
Thanks for replies sorry my solution was a failure.
I had not turned off my pc from last try to play game.
I was about to disable vsync in nvidia control panel although this may not disable vsync while in Game
I was about to open config.NFS13Save in my documents with Notepad and change the FitToVertical=true option to false.
But before any of that i loaded the game and there was an Origin update which updated, the game started to load and i received the e0001 error,
i when into game offline and chose autolog connect which failed but on 3rd attempt was successful and connected.
I then closed the game and closed Origin , i did not restart my computer.
I then loaded the game as normal and it sucessfully went straight online with no e0001 error, i will continue to test throughout the day and get back later with positive results i hope.
Thanks for everyone's help in getting this solved.
- Anonymous13 years agoThank you to everyone who responded with a solution. It looks like the patch fixed the problem for the most part. I was also experiencing lag on my GTX590 because it wasn't managing the dual gpu cores efficiently but that seems to have been fixed with the patch as well.
