Need for Speed (2015) Crashes at Menu on PS4/PS5 100% of the Time.

I purchased the Deluxe Edition of NFS 2015 on the PSN store on April 28th, 2026 and just tried to play for the first time. It passes connecting to EA servers and then crashes at the main menu. Reproducible 100% of the time. I have uninstalled the game, delete the save date, reinstalled, reboot the PS5, cleared cache on the PS5, restored the game license, put the PS5 in safe mode and rebuilt the database, and several other things to try to get it working and it just crashes 100% of the time right when it gets to the main menu.

There are also several reports on reddit of this happening to others on both the PS4 and PS5 consoles. Same crash at the exact same place. Please do no reply with troubleshooting steps for me to take on my end, they have already been tried multiple times. This is 100% an issue that EA needs to fix. If it is not working by the end of the week on May 9th, 2026 I will simply get a refund from Sony and tell everyone else to do the same. I have also seen many reports of the happening on PC as well so something is certainly going on on EA's end with this game.

    So the game works perfectly fine on other PSN accounts on my PS5 that are linked to different EA accounts, but it will not start on my own account which is the one that purchased the game. I even tried unlinking my EA account and re-linking it to my PSN account but it didn't work. My own account still cannot play the game but other accounts on my PS5 can.

    Both sides passed the buck. I honestly believe it's something on EA's side. Can they not reset the games cloud save since this game saves are stored on EAs servers to see if that helps at all? Even if they could they would likely just say "We can't do that." Hell, they won't even let me try linking my PS5 account to a different EA account to see if that will fix things. They are forcing me to wait 6 months to do so, effectively locking me out of the EA game I purchased.
