PC: Need For Speed Rivals - Frame Rate lock?

It seems it is... if thats the case I won't be buying it, nfs most wanted was locked to 30 fps, but later patch sorted that mess out, however it was released 6 months after release, maybe if such patch is released for rivals I will consider a buy.

Rivals seems to have 30 FPS lock.

But it is untrue, that Most Wanted was capped at 30 Fps. 

Most Wanted 2012 was and is capped at 60 Frames. (You can lock it to 30 Frames by editing a certain file, but it was never locked at 30 Frames by default.) I've been playing since day one, and there has never been a 30 Frames lock, forced by the developers, on PC.

The following benchmarks were published shortly after the original release date. As you can see, the game (was) is capped at 60 Frames.

The Run was capped at 30 Frames, and later patched so that you could get more than 30 Frames by disabling the ingame vsync option.

Agreed.. this is completely unnacceptable!!! Just what were you thinking EA?!?!?!

Sadly it's true...

Even with an engine like Frostbite 3 they still can't provide a game without fps limitation.

The engine is already optimized for PC ffs!

I can bet that no official EA employe reads this forums. We ask for a good game since Most Wanted 1 days and what we get ? Same old crap every year, Most Wanted 2 was the most horrific arcade race game ever created and this year, well, this years`s game is on top of that. 

1 million cut scenes that shows you how to play a game with 4 buttons, 30 fps in 2013??!! The screen is full with garbage info`s that no one is looking at it, no damn wheel support ? Is this a shooter ? NO! Its a driving game with CARS, CARS have wheels!

I`m so glad, i cheer up on myself that i din`t buy this piece of crap and i`m sorry for those who did and can`t get refounds back from this **bleep**y company named EA Games.

Dear EA, please give away this francise to someone who is capable of making games, not some bullcrap game with the name NFS on it!

EA is a disgrace. 

Yep, I've bought the game and I've run it. Runs at 30fps. Anyone found a way to unlock it? I don't understand why they would do this after the framerate lock fiasco with "the run"
