PC: Need For Speed Rivals - Frame Rate lock?
Is the game locked at 30FPS on PC like some of the articles are saying?

It seems it is... if thats the case I won't be buying it, nfs most wanted was locked to 30 fps, but later patch sorted that mess out, however it was released 6 months after release, maybe if such patch is released for rivals I will consider a buy.
Rivals seems to have 30 FPS lock.
But it is untrue, that Most Wanted was capped at 30 Fps.
Most Wanted 2012 was and is capped at 60 Frames. (You can lock it to 30 Frames by editing a certain file, but it was never locked at 30 Frames by default.) I've been playing since day one, and there has never been a 30 Frames lock, forced by the developers, on PC.
The following benchmarks were published shortly after the original release date. As you can see, the game (was) is capped at 60 Frames.
The Run was capped at 30 Frames, and later patched so that you could get more than 30 Frames by disabling the ingame vsync option.
