[PC] Troubleshooting and Requirements

GAME NOT LAUNCHING OR CRASHING? FPS ISSUES? CHECK THE STEPS BELOW!

  

The first thing you should do is check if your your system meets the minimum requirements for Need for Speed. Click the spoiler tag below for the full requirements of the game:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Please note that a 64bit system is required. If you aren't sure if your system meets the requirements, then please visit the Can You RUN It? page on the System Requirements Lab's website.

If your system does not meet the minimum requirements then we won't be able to troubleshoot your system.

If you do meet the minimum requirements then try the following steps:

  • Disable Origin in-game
  • Right-click Need for Speed in Origin, then select Repair Game
  • Update your gpu drivers with a clean installation
  • Unplug all non-mandatory USB and other devices from your system
  • Try a clean boot to exclude background programs from causing issues

    Additional information:

  • Players have reported that the Asus GameFirst app caused fps issues and the 40050000 error. You could try momentarily turning this or similar apps off
  • Online gameplay can have a huge performance impact on your system. Using the Play Alone function should yield performance increase on your system

If the issue persists:

  • Attach a dxdiag.txt to your reply by pressing Choose File and double-clicking the DxDiag.txt file that you saved on your system:

And lastly, provide detailed information on all the steps you've already taken. For the Players: feel free to jump in and help out your fellow racers!

    A problem caused the program to stop working correctly .please close the program. That's what i get when i try to launch the game

    1- I updated my graphic card drivers 

    2-Direct x , framework updated

    3-Windows files updated

    4-I Repaired the game twice

    5- I re-installed the game

    I JUST got NFS downloaded and so excited, but random times when starting up the game, screen just becomes black, and other times, it crashes during the logos/legals!!!

    I have already tried Clean installation of drivers, and reinstall game and clean boot.

    Also tried comptabillity to Windows 7.

    Good afternoon,

    I recently made the purchase of the need for speed in 2015 for the PC, when I was playing had some interruptions in the fps, I opened the msi afterburner to monitor the components of my PC, and I noticed it was almost everything is normal but the cpu usage was 100% (which does not happen in other games such as the need for speed most wanted), I wonder if this would be an optimization problem of the game. Annex I'm sending are the information that is in this picture I did a test and put everything at least, even the resolution, and still got the CPU at 100% and it is not repeated in other games. And my configurations are less recommended, but not both.


    How could I solve this?


    Configurations of my pc:
    GTX 960 4GB (Gigabyte)
    I5 4460 CPU 3.2GHz
    RAM 8GB 1600Mhz (Corsair)

    I just downloaded Need for speed and when I tried to launch the game origin detects that I'm in-game for a few seconds but the game doesn't actually launch. In the task manager the .exe is running but it only lasts for a few seconds and then automatically closes without giving any error message.

    -I've tried running the game without enabling Origin in-game.

    -I've tried running the game as administrator and in different compatibility modes.

    Whenever I take a snapshot it says, Snapshot Upload failed! anyway to fix this?

    Hi, the game crashes on startup and at random points during running - not actually got beyond the games main menu...when it crashes there is a directx error of "hr1 device removed" or something to that effect. I have tried everything listed but no luck so far, any ideas? ☹️

    I'm afraid that your GPU doesn't meet the requirements to run the game.

    @STKONGEN

    When I check your dxdiag, it doesn't show anything under the main drivers for your video card. It also seems like the dxdiag process previously crashed.

    If you are sure that you performed a clean installation of your gpu drivers, then you could additionally run a System File Checker to check your system for corrupt files, or try running the game in a clean boot to see if background programs might be causing the game to crash.
