I'll give them until the end of the month, if they haven't addressed the issue by then I'm returning the game and writing EA off forever. How could they not have known about this issue before the release? Either it's complete incompetence on their part (do they understand the concept of testing?) or they knew about the problem and released an unplayable game anyways. In either case the result is that I no longer have any confidence in them as a company.
I have learnt now NEVER to pre-order any NFS game again, no matter how good it will look.
Even with Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2012, they know about the issues in the game and they still have not fixed them.
I cannot believe how they managed to bust up the PC version so badly. I played NFS The Run yesterday and its graphics look a lot better than NFS Rivals coz of these issues!!

Okay, so had a thought that none of us has said that they've tried the 60FPS command.
And......
It failed, actually made the game worse, so that's another possible solution ruled out.

If you check Google you will find videos of the game on Youtube at 60fps. It is far worse than the issue we have at 30fps. The physics get totally f*#@ked up and the car is so fast it's undrivable.

@jjrcng:
You can get 60 FPS at normal speed if you use these commands in the command line: -GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60
But with the value 60 it only works if you really reach the 60 FPS constantly. Otherwise the game feels like slow motion, like it does in the FPS drops.
I can play nearly every game at the moment in 50-60 FPS except Rivals. Here I have 25-30 with huge drops. So the fix is nothing for me till a patch ☹️
