I retract my previous statements. Perhaps I was too sleepy and it was a placebo effect.
The game runs the same in windows 7 as in windows 8. Same scenario - problematic spot just outside garage, 24 - 26 fps. Even worse in other areas, but I took this as measurement point to be precise as possible.
My cpu gets saturated and GPU usage drops down to couple of %. So the game in terms of cpu usage is really next gen on older CPUs 🙂
It would be nice if they would make it playable on machines as it is stated in minimum requirements.
@chaz0r: I know, some people have those drops regardless if the HW is powerfull enough. With my friends PC it is working well - but please note, I had little time to test and I was driving around lagoon area (around that supermarket, where my rig gets clogged). There werent any fps issues there on his machine, but that doesn't mean there aren't at all since I havent driven that much.

It doesn't matter if your CPU is new or old. BF4 uses the same engine and I can play it on High to ULTRA Settings. If I overclock my dual GPU(integrated AMD HD 8650G and HD 8750M, I get better fps on those games) but NFS Rivals has no improvement whatsoever and the APU just came out this year! My CPU is 4 cores, and it only uses 3 cores. There isn't even a performance drop when recording, the same places I get 30 fps, when recording still 30, when 10 fps during playing, 10 fps still recording. Nothing wrong with CPU. NFS Rivals was just ported from next gen consoles and not even optimized for PC.

I really would like to hear how the work of the Devs is going and if they found the reasons for these problems :O
