At the point of launching the game you are running the game in "slow motion". 30 FPS is in fact "slow motion".. the 60 fps trick works for the most part but it is not a permanent solution. It just makes the game playable at least, until you end up in one of the mentioned areas then you are reminded of the poor quality of the product.
