@master2g I like it.
I have never used ReShade, but I have achieved great results in other games using GEMfx. That's an injector that was originally designed for Rome: Total War II, but can be applied to any DX-based game. I haven't bothered with trying it out on Payback because A) I'm playing with an old GPU and performance is bad enough as it is, and B) I really have no complaints about the graphics other than I feel that the yellows and oranges are not saturated enough.
What kind of performance hit do you take with the injector?
Thanks !
I knew that GEMfx was made for total warhammer but i never knew it had been done or usable for others games. Cool info.
I found Reshade back when i was annoyed by the dull " Vaseline on my screen " look 2015 had. So i was determined to correct it which got me researching and i came a crossed Reshade 3.0. I really love using it because the shaders list for it is huge and the real time adjustments in the Reshade overlay in game are a great feature. LOL , I am certain 150 of the 400 hrs I have into Payback is from staring at the screen making color ,shading and other adjustments.
I have seen around 8 fps average hit in game with my preset. That is with the game maxed out . Turning down the in game graphic settings doesn't really effect my preset much so one could gain some fps that way to I suppose. Here is what Reshade currently looks like when in game and adjusting. Just slide each of the slider / values in each shader in the list and you can see the real time changes to the looks as one slides the values up or down. This isn't the current shader load out im using but its still the same interface.

@master2g "Vaseline on my screen" LOLOL. Yup, I never could figure out why NFS2015 was designed to be so blurry!
Being able to make adjustments on the fly is a great feature. I'm not sure of the current state of GEMfx because I haven't messed with it in probably a year. At the time, you couldn't make adjustments on the fly because it had to hook the game on startup. The games I adjusted with it primarily was Rome Total War 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, Batman Arkham City, and Batman Arkham Origins. I tweaked the Batman games shortly after they released the remastered versions for the consoles, and I was curious to see what improvements I could get by modding the PC versions... It took hours (I'm sure you can relate) but I'm happy to say they look incredible. By modifying the texture fidelity in the config files, maxing out settings in-game, using Nvidia control panel, and tweaking color and effects using GEMfx, I was able to duplicate the visual quality of the remasters. The only things still lacking were some of the effects that simply weren't available in the games 8- 10 years ago.
Unfortunately my GTX690 is unable to take any kind of a performance hit trying to run Payback (there's no SLI profile, which I could greatly use). I'm averaging around 34 FPS, which is playable for me, but in the tunnels it tanks to the low 20s and I usually crash because of it.
Anyways, for everyone else, sorry to get off-topic. I'll post some car pics when I'm home and have the time...

LOL..it was a odd visual issue in 2015 that's for sure. I love Payback for the most part but i found the lighting not quite clear and bright as it would be for real and the dark shadow areas were just that , to dark and the blacks were crushed. I had for me at least a annoying flicker to trees and grass texture when ever i drove to, as soon as i did any movement the flickering started. Almost like a overlay or something that was broken. Anyways short story is reshade did the trick in fixing what i didn't like . 🙂
I can related. We wont start on how many hours...ahem ok months I spent learning and modding that game. Saying that i can certainly relate. I have all 3 of those Batman games as well and i love them. Never got to Knight yet. Thats awesome you tweaked them and Id love to see some shots . Maybe PM some via a link to a site you may have some uploaded to ?.
That sucks about the SLI deal. I have been using a single card since back in my HD6990 DAYS So I never knew PB didn't support dual GPU .
I don't think it matters we got off topic....we are the only ones here lol :eahigh_file:.

@master2g Ah yes, I'd like to show you some comparison screenshots of the Arkham games because I'm quite proud of them.... I'll see what I can do... maybe I can sneak a few in here in-between some car pics LOL....
Anyways, for now here's a couple of my runner cars. The Charger takes loose inspiration from NFS Carbon, specifically the wrap design for Samson, one of your crew members if you choose the "Muscle" career path:
And here is Jess's Audi S5 Sportback with a little bit more flare than the stock version that she starts out with:
You can't see it but the license plate reads "ODDJOB." 😉
