Problem - BMW M3 GTR in "Race Car" category in Multiplayer

The BMW M3 GTR is in the "Race Car" category along with the BAC Mono, Ariel Atom, and Caterham R500 in Multiplayer.    It should be in the "Sports Car" category due to being unlocked by using sport...

Why aren't similar cars like the R34 GT-R in the "Race Car" category as well? The M3 GTR is nothing like the Caterham, BAC, and Ariel.
