PS3 Bug - Need For Speed Rivals - intermittent No control of Vehicle/power/steering?

Yes exactly the same issue and basically the game is now unplayable as seems to be getting worse. Started after approx 5hrs of casual play and now happens every time I try to play. After it started happening consistently I replaced the controller with new Sony dual shock and that didn't fix it. Tried other games and only happening with rivals. Happens in all areas and so far with all cars, BMW, Aston Martin and for me happening in all areas of the game. Really disappointing and hope this gets resolved ASAP.

    Looking at the pages here and appears to be a few similar threads to this so i think this is a wider issue than just us. btw running on PS3 160gb Slim i think. Happens with or without other real players in close proximity and often within 2 minutes of leaving garage. running cable not wifi and dont have great connection speed but certainly not dropping out of connection to server.
