EDITED:   PS3 Bug -  Need For Speed Rivals - intermittent No control of Vehicle/power/steering? Driving any of the following cars in the areas listed cause the car to drive in a  "Locked in Mode" ...

I as well am experiencing the issue. It seems to happen when I go in pursuit as a cop. I only got pass the training session. When it began having the issues. I just bought the game and will be returning the game. Sad I can not enjoy a game that looks awesome.
