I'm not really interested in online at least not at this current time, I'd just like to get access to these original gems without risking a virus or paying for an over priced title and then get a drive bay installed into my PC.
I saw I could get UnderCover on Origin, the after playing the steam version and it crashing within a couple of minutes each time I tried and the graphics looking very choppy I'm hesitant to go for it again.

Then buying a used copy of any CD / DVD based NFS game would be the way to go.

As posted above, I recommend buying a new PC DVD version of Undercover (north American version) (not the Steam or Origin version), then do a web search, download, and install patch 1.0.1.18. You should be able to find patch 1.0.1.18 for north American version, with file name NFSU_v1.0.1.18_enUS.exe .
