EA Staff (Retired)Hey @Xb147 We recently moved over integration from Origin to EA App, Can you try to verify the game in Steam, Then make sure Origin is not running and restart the Steam and EA App Clients to see if this continues?
The issue still persists.
I verified the game on steam, restarted the client.
Made sure the EA client wasn't running.
I press play on Steam and follow the steps till I get the same message "Something went wrong, head over to steam star over."
I even tried this: Uninstalled the client downloaded from the website,
then reinstalled it through Steam which downloads the EA App when I pressed Play.
Followed all the same steps and yet again I am stuck at "Something went wrong".
I also tried linking some other account, like my google account and it perfectly got linked with no issues at all.
Please let me know if there is update on the solution for this account linking between Steam and EA.

Summarize your bug I bought battlefield 1 in steam, then it asked to link my steam account to EA, i tried, but allways it sends me this issue "Something went wrong To continue linking your EA Account to steam, head back to steam and start over" i searched all internet to find how to fix it, but nothing i already installed origin and ea, but nothing i tried all which says EA_illium in this topic https://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-Need-for-Speed-Games/Cant-link-Steam-and-EA-app/m-p/12029112#M91624

I keep trying now and then. I tried making a new account, but still no.
Recently I tried connecting all the other platforms which can be linked to EA.
All of them were successful, with no problems at all.
Only Steam is having this issue.

I bought all need for speed games available on Steam but I can't play them because linking my EA and Steam accounts is not available.
