! = Multiple versions for that race. It's supposed to be like that.
If the race icon is a round blue dot in day or a pink dot at night (not sure about colourblind mode) or has "new" next to it, it's yet to be completed. If the icon has a laurel wreath, it's completed.
I'm talking about check flag with yellow exclamation in the corner. It's still there even if you complete every race difficulty. It didn't happen before update.
UPDATE
OK I found that there is 100% issue. Look at map and blue race light (nothing is completed yet).
..and now when two rtaces are done! YELLOW exclamation mark is still present but CROWN appears above race name which mean it's done!!
We really need to know which race is done on MAP.

That’s not true.
@Masicka_dHI submitted an explanation to the user via messaging.
The exclamation marks means that the event has two variants to it. Higher and lower spec. (This is verified in the update patch notes in the general section)
The icon on the map changes from a dot to a Laurel Wreath if it's completed.
The crown means that you've won both tiers.
I have been told multiple times that I am wrong, but never have I been corrected.
the light blue behind the race flag means its been done, it wont have that if you haven't done the race yet, the yellow mark just means that there is different levels of the same race, it will never go away unless the other race goes away. It makes perfect sense to me, and I just caught on playing the game
