Can your remove all peripherals other than mouse, keyboard and controller (are you using one?)
Then, generate a Dxdiag report and post that here, we may be able to spot an issue in that report.

It looks like you may have multiple instances of your mouse and keyboard installed, either set the actual mouse and keyboard as the default or remove/uninstall all of the duplicates and then retry.

How do I do that exactly?

The following is done at your own risk.
Open device manager, click the view menu and select 'show hidden devices', under 'keyboards' and 'mouse and other pointing devices' select and delete the duplicates.
If you are not confident in doing this then maybe try disabling macros on your mouse and keyboard instead, consult your device documentation for info on that.

Retry playing the game and see if there is any change, post your result here, thanks.

Unfortunately, there was no change. The controls still wont respond.

Are you still seeing multiples of your mouse and KB if you generate a new Dxdiag?
- Anonymous9 years ago
Yes. Such as...
Device name: Mouse
.
.
Device name: USB Gaming Mouse
Even though i'm only using one mouse. Although, on the device manager, there is only one mouse showing.
Same can be said for the keyboards.
