Hey. no NFS reboot does not have global leaderboards, just friend leaderboards. They used to have global leaderboards till NFS Hot pursuit (2010) came out, and it has been that way ever since (except Shift 2) IMO all racing games should have a global leaderboard for competition against the world. friends/lobby leaderboards only just doesnt work for competition.
As for tourneys. great idea, they have something like that on gran turismo 6, where there are 1 time trial/ 1 Drift every 2-5? weeks with a global leaderboard. when it expires there be new boards with a different time trial/drift track. that would be awesome for competition :D i hope they add something like that or just global leaderboard for every track with a game update some day...
