Re: My game acts like I am pressing a button down, but I am not.

@Slideshow25

Remove all USB devices other than mouse, keyboard and maybe your wheel controller and let us know if there is any change. Do you run any GPU overlay or injector software?

A clean boot before starting the game can't hurt either: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

  • Ya I only have those plugged in and  I have even tried it with nothing plugged in. Still does it. I have rebooted and also reinstalled and repaired the game multiple times, but to no luck.

    Did you try a clean boot as above?

    If you have another keyboard you can test with too, that will be helpful.

  • Yep I have tried the clean boot. Still nothing. I don't have another keyboard but I doubt that is the problem, works fine with all other games and this problem still happens even when the keyboard isn't plugged in.

  • What mine does is when you try to cycle through the menu it won't let me. It will fight me and wants to just keep going up.

    In the dxdiag I can read that your system doesn't fully meet the requirements to run Need for Speed. This means that you might experience odd behavior in-game such as the game crashing or certain buttons not working as intended.

    Sadly this also means that I won't be able to troubleshoot your system further.
