i use Windows 98/ME because else it would always crash on start up while the game tries to start the video.

so i have no big choice

it was already on single core. no changes.

Have you tried the 1.4 patch?

Is it a windows error crash?  Perhaps post the details from here:

Start -> type "Reliability" -> View Reliability History -> Find Crash -> Right Click -> View Technical Details

there is no category about Need for Speed Carbon (they have Underground 2 but not carbon.. wtf!?)... i can't select the game -> i can't ask the support GJ EA WELL DONE!
