To use the in-game deauthorization tool for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, follow the steps below.

Windows Vista/Windows 7

• Click on the Windows button on the Windows Taskbar.
• Select All Programs.
• Click on Games.
• Click on Games Explorer.
• Right-click on the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit icon.

I have attempted to deauthorize this game on my computer but I am unable to and get same error message when I try.

Right click the game and then click Game Properties. You are looking for CD key.

That would help if the old hard drives were bootable.

I have 2 legit copies of the game, disk and book, and photo to prove it. And never had a problem until now. Went through a lot of reinstalls of windows as well so I suppose they chewed up spots too.

Honestly my son wants his game. It's supposed to be easy. Got the key and CD, install.

If we buy game, we should own it.

4 hours of screwing around trying to get it working, and looking for a way to access the support, unable to even upload my proof.

I found myself starting to look for cracks to just try to get my legit game working. That's seriously bad support when Hacker sites are more appealing.

How can I upload my photo and get actual support?

I feel you, and their customer service is too dumb to give you an answer... I have that problem with Hot Pursuit, Shift 1 and Shift 2 even though I bought the games legally...
