It may be worthwhile power cycling your router.

Did you go through the other troubleshooting from the link I posted?

    Yes mate all other games work fine its a brand new router and ive just gotten a fibre connection

    Can you make sure all iPad/iOS updates as well as system app updates are completed, there may be something not working if they are not up to date as may be the case with a new device.

    I have new info on this.

    It appears we are aware of an issue with this game on the 2018 iPad and are working on making the fix available to players in your situation ASAP.

    Hopefully that will not take too long and you will be back in the game quite soon.

    How long Is fix going to take Barry not being cheeky mate using an old iPad 2012 for game just now it’s not reponsive enough for the game and I’m losing a shed load of points in the online races mate
