Re: NFS HEAT - Car List: BMW M3 GTR

reading through comments finding out about the new exhaust sound system seems awesome !

that always was a issue, no matter the exhaust cars always sounded like the stock kit.

    @AryanorA

Welcome to the forums and yes I fully agree with your comments about the Exhaust sounds.

For so many past NFS games the cars sounded so generic and I know we as a community really disliked this.

I'm happy someone woke up and actually read our comments over the last two years while making NFS Heat game.

I hope Ghost Studios keep reading our comments now on the new NFS Heat Game to make adjustments for whatever next Game they create.

Have a great day & I gave you some XP too. 😃

  • @BLVD69 I seem to remember in the OG UG when you changed your exhaust or upgraded ur engine, the sound changed. It wasn't right, but it was a nice touch. Could do something like that again.

@Michael_RushFrom the video's I have seen of heat, engine swaps and exhaust tuning is a thing. This also changes the sound of the car (engine) and the exhaust. So if you want the authentic BMW M3 GTR don't engine swap.

I hope keeping the same engine still allows for the car to get to a high level and not force you to engine swap to make the car as fast as it can be. Obviously putting a damn V12 in (if possible) should be quicker but I hope not to the point that the stock engine is pointless. Engine swaps might not be a thing on the icon cars. Only time will tell.

I think the new system for Exhaust change in Heat will be much better than most of the games from the past.

    Have a great day.

Conversely, I'm not particularly fussed nor significantly interested. That's not to say it won't be good! Just that what I've seen just seems like refinement or just making the sound louder... It's another level of customization (which is probably desirable and genuinely wanted in this case) like the clothing which consume resources that could've been used elsewhere.

Ultimately, I don't mind and appreciate the initial signs of innovation. But, unrelated to customization, the damage system still holds back Heat for me massively and it would be much more desirable without it, at least to me.

Thanks! I've definitely made better though. Keep up the great work yourself too.

I'll return the favour, hope you can level up past 5 star guide! 👏

@Jacobba55 Here is some more XP lol. One of the first comments from EA doesn't confirm the same sound but says the exhaust customisation will allow you to it to how you want it. Which isn't what the initial poster wanted but I feel it will be good enough from the videos I have seen.

You don't have to give it out if you don't feel like it... I'm sorry.

I understand the sound is in the right direction, it's just that it seems to sound more like a swapped V8 or an AMG Bi-turbo. I'm not sure whether the exhaust tuning makes much difference with regards to that.
