That resolution did absolutely nothing for me... I have the same issue and cannot play online... My error code is different though.. it's 40080000. But it's also regarding the item synchronisation failed.
Power cycling my console did not fix this issue and I do not want to lose all the hours I put into this game already. There is no need for item synchronization with your servers, this should just be part of a basic save game function.
- @TheFaustusPHD you hit the nail on the head why in the **** is it syncing to an ea server anyway? Its not like the data can restore itself anyway i have tried. Im on my 4th full restart on the game and its frustrating. I hope we get a fix tuesday im preying as i have my original data on ps+ cloud
This did nothing to resolve my issue.
I had $720,000 and then randomly the game synced to whatever it synced to and I'm reduced to $2,004.
I've played for 4 hours to get this back up to around $400,000. I've just logged back on and nothing saved. Wtaf EA
I just lost over 1.3 million dollars and the motivation to play the game. Hours of grinding thru races down the drain.
- @L3Wi22 This is the kind of crap that is making me not want to play.. I did hours of troubleshooting last night to try and figure out what the problem could be (if it was something on my end). I eventually concluded it's an error on EA's server and has nothing to do with anything I do in-game. I continued playing solo while connected to the internet, did some races upgraded my car a bit, got into a cop chase and leveled up, then did a heap of drift zones to get more cash ($88,869). I logged out and upon seeing the "your unsaved progress will be lost" screen started to worry, log out and lose $44,000, all the parts I bought for my car but still have the level up... makes no sense at all. So I close the game, disconnect the internet and start it again offline, it's still the same ($44,869 and no parts) connect to the internet, Sync error randomly puts my cash down to $7,869. So i logged out, quit the game and restarted online got an item sync fail, local inventory doesn't match, synced my inventory and nothing changed at all... It's so fckn random. The amounts of cash they gave me... I know that I didn't have that number at any point because I wrote down how much cash I had after making or spending it. So it's not even like they're taking you back to a previous save it's just totally random!
When are you going to fix this EA?! This makes no f***ing sense.

that didnt help me either. i have like 30+ hrs in game most of all the expensive cars in game i had so much money into the cars so much grinding. i never used that glitch for money. maybe i should have then this wouldnt suck so bad. i refuse to restart the game at this point. if something doesnt fix this im never playing this game again.
Why would people want to play a game knowing at any given day they will lose everything.

Ok I lied. it's not fixed. I got back into game went to use my plymoth and the car broke my game. The car is a floating chassis on my lobby screen. Like 1/3 of the car is there. My game won't even show an error now. it just won't load in at all.

I tried this solution and it didn’t work for me. I had 12 cars and 900k. It kept my rep level at 50 and story/map progression but my cars,money,character, and all ultimate and ultimate + parts are reset. I can’t even launch a solo or online session I get a infinite loading screen that won’t go away. And on the home screen my car isn’t even rendered in its missing parts everywhere. I’ve put countless hours into this game. I’m almost finished getting platinum for this game. My game is literally unplayable I can’t even play if I wanted to grind all my stuff back. Is there any temporary solution to what I’m experiencing??

I didn't fix it. I thought it was fixed. I got past the sync error. But the car I was using was corrupted an it broke my game when I tried to use it. The game wouldnt load at all i wasnt getting errors anymore. I ended up having to delete my saved game with 15 mill in cars an 30+ hours.
