well, no - it's the same funtcion but you can't play overwatch if you don't have any friends online if you're offline yourself.

    I'm online on NFS Network. Sorry bout this mate. I am new to the game and its functions and features. I basically want to help racers and cops on Overwatch and play whilst I am at work (only because I love the game and also want to keep ranking up :P). I am assuming I need friends for this?

    Yeah, if you wan't to play over watch while you're offline from the game istelf you would need friends online.
