Re: Remove Denuvo from NFS Heat

I can't believe human can be so selfish to this level, you know without denuvo this game can be crack in day one, so all the dev handwork gone for free? Or you are planning to pirate? You think EA will be so stupid by spending so much money to get protection and remove it simply? duhhh..

Judging from both of your responses, I believe you both have no clue how useless Denuvo is.

Does this Denuvo Anti-Tamper DRM benefit you in any way? Does it?

No, it doesn't. This DRM gives you no benefits whatsoever.

Even if Denuvo is removed, your game is still worth something. It's a game that YOU paid for.

And you know even with or without Denuvo, games will still eventually be cracked anyways. It's just a matter of time of how long it takes. Hackers will crack just about anything with a petty reason such as "Just for fun".

Also once the hackers eventually crack the game, their pirated games will actually run better than the official games with the Denuvo DRM. Let that sink in.

By the way, I have Origin Access Premier so I'm playing NFS Heat legally on Day 1.

Sigh.. company used protection just for protecting early sales around 3-6 months that's where the core sales comes from, is protecting them so they won't go bankrupt and continue to make games for you guys. Not gamer. imagine you are developer or have a game company what would you do to protect yourself from all the hardwork, oh my this world is full of toxic

I would say most of the sales happen within the first month of the game's lifespan.

But even then, the game can still be cracked within its first month.

    CD Projekt Red thinks otherwise.

Their upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077 will be DRM-free and people are overwhelmingly happy about it having no DRM such as Denuvo.

    LOL 😃

Simply by having an argument, you say this is toxic. That's so funny! LOL 😃

As it's quite clear you don't want an argument, I'll just agree to disagree.

if anything its YOU who doesnt understand. they STILL havent cracked mk 11 because of this protection. its an insurance policy, IF it does get defeated then they dont pay for it. dont know about the rest of you but my computer can handle the less than 1% overhead it uses.

Did you even read my second reply in this thread?

The reply that talks about Denuvo and why it's useless and hurts the consumer?

If you're not gonna read that, then I'm just wasting my time arguing with someone who doesn't read my arguments.

Why is it that people are happy that Cyberpunk 2077 will be DRM-free and people like the original poster are upset that NFS Heat has Denuvo? Care to tell me?

NFS Heat was just released yesterday, so I highly doubt that anyone has the game pirated right now.

I have Origin Access Premier, so I'm currently playing NFS Heat legally. But I'm still complaining about Denuvo making games online-only and hurting game performance.

you can play naive all you want, people cheer on cdpr nomatter what they do (like being a parasitic game shop). why WOULDNT people be stoked to steal their game on day 1 because its completely unprotected? me personally im all for them making ALL games online only, taking peoples CID and SS#s and then banning them for life from all online games if they get caught cheating. it makes for better games FOR GAMERS.

  • @MEGAF1UX People who dont have the money or just usually pirate games wont pay for them anyway. So this doesnt change much. Its the customer service you provide that matters and gives you the most profit, not the measures you take to slow crackers. If you do an exceptional game you will make a lot regardless if its cracked or not(as in the case of CDPR games for example). Id have a developer aim for peak performance than insecurely try to protect their game. That shows confidence in their creation after all so stop being such a fanboy little wuss. I pay for all my games and i dont want this * in them. Its like ordering a sandwich and getting a security guard come and watch you eat it. You sound like a guy who just bought his first game and now youre gonna defending it from all of the injustice in the world as if its your own child. Its a game after all, not to mention from a greedy publisher such as ea. Ghost is a nice studio but they are under that umbrella so yeah

it will change the fact that people who DONT pay for the games wont be able to play the games. your customer service shtick is nonsense too, LOADS of very profitable games/services have absolute garbage customer support (steam, activision, sony, square enix, namco bandai) but are very profitable.

you dont understand how this works at all and you just made that VERY clear. the developer DOESNT worry about protection, thats what the publisher works out with the people at denuvo. you are probably a console gamer who doesnt even realize that its not used on console games from what youve just said. i have been buying games longer than youve been breathing kiddo, and it was honestly a MUCH better hobby before it became popular among people who do it just because they suck at sports.

    Right. Right.

When you run out of arguments, you pull the insult card. lmao 😃

Did you ever think that there are people that will buy a game that they like to support the developers after they tried out a pirated copy of the game?

You sound like the kind of person who would ban people for intentional ramming, which I am glad you don't have the power to ban.

I find ramming in Player vs. Player races so much fun. I ram intentionally in both The Crew 1 and 2 PvP.

If you had the power to ban and I rammed you, you would ban me when I was just having fun. LOL 😃

I'll say this: Fun is subjective.

What's not fun for you may be fun for others.

    That makes sense.

Out-of-touch boomers want useless DRM in their game(s) while millennials and Gen-Z know why adding DRM is a waste of time and money and hurts the game overall.

As you ran out of arguments, I think we're done here.

  • 1. Your guy’s denuvo argument was really cringe to read

    2. There’s plenty of DRM softwares that are way better than Denuvo and don’t take such a hard hit on performance so yes it does need to be at least switched to a better DRM.

3 how in the world is CDPR parasitic? They’re literally one of the best developers when it comes to making quality games and giving community support/ feedback.

@Ouroboros27 seriously, I'm on a 2080Ti and a 9900K and I'm struggling to get over 100 FPS no matter what graphics settings I use. There's no excuse for this. My machine should be destroying this game.

Good points made and I just want to add to one of your points where you said the following.

    You said, Quote:

Even if Denuvo is removed, your game is still worth something. It's a game that YOU paid for.

And you know even with or without Denuvo, games will still eventually be cracked anyways.

It's just a matter of time of how long it takes.

    My Reply:

True NFS Heat already has knuckleheads

craking the game and using back door programs trying to get an advantage

in the game which I have been reporting to proper channels of power.

I want a clean game not a dirty game with cheaters!

So sick of paying money $80 in my case to only get people wreaking the game with cheats to win in the first week of release.

The community deserves a clean honest game.

True we can't stop all the cheaters but that doesn't mean we can't do our part to make reports when we see dishonest players in the game

Look it's our community and if we care about fairness,

we will all do our part to keep the game as clean as we can.

I'm not preaching here but as a long time and old-time gamer,

I don't ever make excuses for any cheaters in any game!

    Have a good day.
