You'd need to make sure that any cloud based saving is turned off.
After that you would need to delete local saved data. For example on XB1 - Xbox - Option button on game tile - Manage Game - Saved Data - delete save data for your profile in both local and everywhere.
Keep in mind that once you do this the data will never be retrievable and you'll lose any progress you've already made.

- So that means I need to go into “Origin” in the top left corner of the desktop app then press “app settings” after that we go to “installs & saves” and turn off cloud storage?
Just as I wrote I did and it doesn’t fix the problem so please do explain what folders I need to open and delete the saved data from.
Some also say that I need to start the game without being logged into origin, but you can’t open need for speed payback without being logged into origin.
So sorry to say but the answer you gave is not the solution I’m looking for
Cheers - Anonymous8 years agoYes very useful. Why would it not be on damn menu under settings?
- Anonymous8 years agoYou find out a verified way to reset PS4 or Xbox one without deleting save files?
If you go to your Documents you will see a folder called Need for Speed(TM) Payback inside that folder there is a Save game folder.
- Anonymous8 years agoWhere is the documents on PS4 or Xbox one?
@jdavidson032397 there is no way to start the career over again unless you delete the save game data on the console. I know on PC there are separate save files for settings and game data, so in theory, just deleting the game save data will keep your original settings in the new game while resetting your progress.
Restarting your career will mean you restart with all of the part tokens you received in the previous game, but none of the credits. You will also not get any level up shipments until you reach/pass the level you were on in the previous career. For instance, if you are at level 30 and decide to restart the career, you won't get any shipments at all until you reach level 31 in the new game.

Sounds like there isn't a way to start the game over from scratch and keep access to those abandoned cars we have. That blows.

Quick question. Since we can't start the game from scratch and use the abandoned cars in career mode. Where can I go to get a race list? Basically a race break down of how they appear in order during the career mode. So I can redo all the races in order with my abandoned cars.
