Hi Tom. you mean I can't use WiFi connection for this? If this is true, it's kinda hassle as I do not have wired connection

You are able to use a wi-fi connection, but such a connection is unreliable and you could experience issues with online gaming.
To clarify: I have a Wii U in my room and the router is one floor directly below me. I am unable to do online gaming from my room due to constant disconnects. If I want to update the console or download a game, I usually have to take the console downstairs. For my PC from the same room, I am using a powerline which is basically a wired connection through the power sockets in your walls. It still runs into the occasional issue here and there, but mostly I am able to play without issues. I have a 240 Megabit connection.
If you have exhausted all troubleshooting, I would advise to contact your internet provider to see if they might be blocking something from their side, or if there have been any outages.
