One of the biggest contributors to lag is not having your TV in "Game Mode", this can add significant lag to the experience and is easily remedied by turning on game mode via your TV settings.

Well NFS Heat didn't have any lag. Neither do a couple of other games I've tried. But I had to refund Heat due to technical issues. Hence why I want this game.
Plus I'm playing on a monitor with only 5ms response time, not a TV.
So I take it from your answer, there is lag with this game ?
The main reason I'm checking before I buy, is with NFS Most Wanted, it turned out there was lag. But by the time I got around to playing it, it had almost been a year since I bought it (on sale), and I had like 8 hours playtime before I really noticed (and quit playing because it was really hard to dodge and manoeuvre around traffic). It was only $5 though, so I'm not fussed.
