Re: We NEED New Cars

Technically you can create the Hellcat and the Demon.

Once you get the car level to 299, the challenger is pushing Hellcat numbers. Plus the options for the Demon and Hellcat hoods are there.

EA needs to just uncap the damn car to 399. I don't know why they stopped it at 299.

If everyone watched this video it would put an end to 5 bazzillion threads asking the same thing about the performance limit.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LduYNEZaWv8

Here's the short version if you don't have 11 minutes to spare watching the video: Supercar manufacturers make vehicle that can go to "lvl 399" in real life, so they don't care if their cars do the same thing in-game. Average car manufacturers like Ford and Dodge do NOT want their cars to be able to be modded to 399. This is because it sets unrealistic expectations of what the real-life version is capable of. It's not because Ghost Games can't or doesn't want to do it, it's because they are restricted from doing it.

Notice how all of the derelicts and abandoned cars can go to 399? It's because those cars aren't in production anymore, so the manufacturers don't care how fast you make them. But CURRENT cars like the Challenger, Raptor, Focus, etc.. cannot be modded to 399 because the manufacturers don't want you to go to a dealership and test drive one and go "this sucks it's too slow compared to my game!"

First of all, I would imagine an adult going to test out a car would realize that the car he drives in a videogame isn't going to be exactly the same in real life. Also, I don't understand how past games as well as other games like Forza and the Crew get away with things like that. I'm having fun with NFS:Payback but It's a really stupid explanation that just comes down to bad game design to be honest.

If they can't increase the level cap or remove it then why don't they have level scaling for people who want to play single-player without being forced to use a car they don't want to. This could even work for online play and make it to where it would literally come down to skill opposed to who's got the faster car.

    @FadeToBlackSS

Yes it is stupid but its the rules set by the owners of the cars Ghost wants to use. Its the same stupid deal for many things. We have rules at work or else where that are stupid but if we want to get paid or do a certain something else where we have to accept the stupid rules. No different for the Ghost team, they have bosses and legal guys breathing down their neck just as much . We are living in a mess up world with every thing is over blown and sensitivity is at a all time high. I agree but my friend its the manufactures and their nit picky legal rules we should be pointing a finger at not Ghost.

Okay, but why I cant upgrade R34 Skyline up to 399 lvl?
Its not in production and it is one of the most tunable cars ever. There are some R34 Skylines with more than 2500 hp in real life.

I don't see any realistic point on your comment.

I don't see any reply from EA about "299 gap" so why would someone come here and explain things that game publishers are silent about?

I don't understand how a normal person will buy a real car, a 2016 Mercedes CLA for example, hit the gas pedal to the floor, hit a tree, getting out of the car and say " HEY! THIS * DOES NOT DRIFT AS IT SUPPOSED REGARDING NFS PAYBACK, I WANT MY CAR TO PERFORM AS IN NFS GAMES!!", are you crazy?

There is a mention in the game's loading screen: "cars in game does not reflect real life experience, please drive safe and wear your seat belt"... something like that.

Again  , yes it is stupid it but it IS NOT Ghost making the rules. All these in game cars are not the property of EA or Ghost . Even if they have the license to use them i will bet it is under strict rules set by the manufactures. Does any one here have real proof that Ghost is to blame ? Can you prove that Ghost isn't aloud to comment in regards ? . Can we prove they just said frig it we don't feel like changing it ? I am sure they could say something on here but no matter what they say some one is still going to * about it. Why give some one a answers they don't want to hear.

  • Just because Ghost and EA is silent about it doesn't give anyone the right to take personal thoughts as a reality.
It's ok to show your opinion but don't say "I'm telling the truth", it doesn't work that way.
Besides... why would any car manufacturer say "I want my models to be inferior"? It's self depravity.
Not to mention old car models are way better in game than new models...

In my opinion game developers only got lazy and greedy rushing to sell an unfinished product with an unbalanced gameplay.

I stop playing that nonsense game but I do look for any good news from now on.
