When i start nfs payback i get a black screen(hear the audio). hearing the audio i can identify that i am able to control the game. But i don't see anything. (Gaming on pc: i7 4790 and a gtx 1050ti)
Had the exact same problem (audio playing but screen was black). For me the problem was TeamViewer.
Started troubleshooting with msconfig (disabling potential problems 1 after 1).
1. Press Windows+R type msconfig and press enter:
2. Go to the Services tab and check Hide all Microsoft services.
-Now look for TeamViewer, Fraps, or whatever similar programs you may have installed and uncheck them, press apply and restart your computer.
I would like to keep TeamViewer running thought so please me tell if you guys find a way to temporarily disable TeamViewer when launching the game.

I am able to play the game but in a portable screen, the max screen doesn't work!!

how did you change to portable screen?

Hi there , try ctrl+enter or go to the setting and switch to fullscreen option or switch between them all and go back to your desired option .
Also you can try this ( tip from a NFS 2015 topic from the forums , worth a try ) :
First off all you need to update your windows😉
Right click on game
-select Properties
-select Local Files Tab
-select Browse Local Files
-right Click NFS16.EXE
-select Properties Tab
-select Compatibility
-Run This Program As an Administrator
Do the same for NFS16Launcher.EXE in that folder.
And then right click on game NFS16 icon on the Desktop
-select Properties
-in Properties tab you see -Run - click this , now select Normal Window
-press Apply
-press OK
