Remastering a game or making it backwards compatible with XBOX ONE S/X Consoles

Hi,
I just called Microsoft to ask why they don't make the best Need For Speed Game, being Most Wanted, backwards compatible with the XBOX ONE S/X consoles and I was told it is entirely up to EA themselves and nothing to do with Microsoft.

I can't understand why EA wouldn't remaster the BEST NFS game, being 'Most Wanted' or at the very least make it backwards compatible with the XBOX ONE consoles?
EA has only to gain by doing this and nothing to lose and make a stack of NFS Most Wanted fans extremely happy.
No matter what forum you look at online, MOST WANTED is considered to be the best game in the NFS series.
You only need to look on the XBOX feedback at all the other 20? NFS games and see that they are........to be polite, poor and sub par to Most Wanted.
It is even asked why EA don't/won't add Most Wanted to the backwards compatible games.

Kind Regards.

  • Hello @Rikoshay66,

Remastering games is a huge process that takes a lot of time. Licensing would be a huge issue for any older NFS game.

Re-licensing the music is probably the main issue even if it was just ported for BC. Goes for any NFS really. Wouldn't cost maybe much per se, but getting all the artists to sign on again would be tiresome. Still, I'd like the older Xbox/PS2 games to be more easily accessable too.
