I would like to see more hiphop, R&B, rap and rock. Those were the main genres in many older Need For Speeds. 2015 was too heavy on EDM and I just switched off the music in the end because of how repetitive and annoying each song was.

@LastofMyKind97 I think I nice blend of all genres including EDM would be best. I don't think they should set focus on 1 genre exactly, I think they should find music that has a story that goes along with the game's story or songs that are high octane and good for racing. electro house, DNB, and rock are fantastic genres for racing games in my honest opinion. so if they have a nice variety of even those genres i think the soundtrack will be good.
now yes 2015 focused too much on 1 thing and I think they dropped the ball with that soundtrack with its lack of variety. there are maybe only 3 songs in the entirety of 2015 that I consider good. but if Paybacks soundtrack follows the variety of EA sports games (Madden 16) than I think the soundtrack will be good.
