SOUNDTRACK?

@LastofMyKind97 I think I nice blend of all genres including EDM would be best. I don't think they should set focus on 1 genre exactly, I think they should find music that has a story that goes along with the game's story or songs that are high octane and good for racing. electro house, DNB, and rock are fantastic genres for racing games in my honest opinion. so if they have a nice variety of even those genres i think the soundtrack will be good. 

now yes 2015 focused too much on 1 thing and I think they dropped the ball with that soundtrack with its lack of variety. there are maybe only 3 songs in the entirety of 2015 that I consider good. but if Paybacks soundtrack follows the variety of EA sports games (Madden 16)  than I think the soundtrack will be good. 

I would love to hear more Heavy Metal in this game. Its mostly electronic music anymore which gets kind of annoying ( I like electronic music, do not get me wrong).

@XGCSith i do want some metal, in fact there is a few metal songs on my wishlist. though most of my wishlist is rock, rap, EDM, experimental stuff there is still metal on it. 

@snakeheadinvad3 I agree. I just feel heavy metal doesn't get the air play that EDM or rap music does.

@driftracerjohn66 the first song doesn't fit the game at all. its too chill for racing and it's too pop sounding for the story and setting of the game. 

the best way to tell if something fits the game is to ask these questions. 

• is it about payback 
• is it fast paced 
• is it about racing 
• is it about cars 
• is it about rolling with your crew 

if you answer yes to at least one of those questions then there's a high chance it fits the game. another good way to tell is to play the song while watching gameplay of the game. the way I do it is with the questions plus visualizing in my head what the song would sound like in a race. 

the second song you chose I'm un decided on. I'm not sure if it's fast paced enough or if the lyrics fit it, but since the instrumental seemed to work well to race to I added it to my wishlist playlist on youtube which has around 8k views. though I'm probably going to stop adding to the playlist after I add 50 songs right now I'm at around 45.

Just turn the in game noise off and just turn up your own tunes and race with music you enjoy.

In this digital age...music is so easy to shop online for.

Why depend on a game for your musical enjoyment?

@BLVD69 well, the thing is there's something special about the game having a good soundtrack. when I make my soundtrack wish lists I completely throw out my musical tastes out the window and just find music that fits the setting and pace of the game.
