Steering vehicle with MotionPlus remote (Mario Kart wheel) in Wii

Hi guys.

Mario Kart wheel is compatible with Need for Speed The Run in Wii.

However, the game seems to require a nunchuck for steering the vehicle and there seems to be no way to steer with the Wii MotionPlus remote!! So how can the Mario Kart wheel be compatible.

Is there some setting or configuartion I need to change somewhere to steer the vehicle with the wiimote/wheel, instead of the nunchuck?

Please help.
