Steering wheel connects as controller and doesnt work properly on NFS Heat PC

I have a logitech g27 and for a while i've been using it as a steering wheel on nfs heat on PC but suddenly the game now registers it as a controller and i'm unable to use the wheel properly. Before it was registering it as a wheel. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but it still didnt work. I downloaded logitech G hub as well but didnt work still..
