Steering wheel support

Hi,

I have bought my dad a steering wheel to play the latest NFS on, but he has reported that the steering wheel does not work on this particular game, but it does work on his other games. He has supplied the following details:

HAMA V18 Vibration Hama PC Racing wheel "Thunder V18", USB Item Type: Game
Console Steering Wheel Driver ver 00062865
Windows 7 64 Pro
CPU 3930K
Graphics Geforce 670

Can anyone please let me know if there is a quirk/bug with the game or how we can resolve the issue?
