Stuttering framerate with a 980Ti

Really sorry to hear about You having this problem. I am paying NFS with way, way worse Computer with any issues (I can play 1080p, ultra settings, having smooth & constant 60 fps).

I have a 980ti with a i7 4790k

I am playing on a 3440x1440 (2k) monitor and everything is as maxed out as possible. 

My frame rates never drop below 60fps. So I'm not really sure why you are experiencing issues? have you upgraded your drivers? this game really isnt utilizing a whole lot of my Ram either, i think I saw 4-6GB use. 

My game is also installed on M.2 SSD. 

here is a screenshot I just took, the lowest I was able to get my FPS to drop is 52/53 if I am really pushing it. or being chased by cops. 

my core clock is stock for my Zotak Card.

Ram usage is around 7GB

So just my speculation, but either its not related to your GPU or its faulty?

how do i get the fps counter in the top left corner?

I am using Riva tuner on MSI Afterburner. After you download it and launch the program, go into settings>monitoring and then on "framerates" click the box that says "show in on-screen display" You can show anything that you monitor in game. 

Mine never drops below 55fps, running a 980ti Zotac AMP! Extreme with i5 4690k. I play in 4k at max settings apart from AA and AO and the framerate is smooth. It's worth noting that if I have lots of other programs open then cpu usage gets very high and the fps drops a little. Try closing everything apart from NFS, that normally works for me.

That did the trick. The game now runs butter smooth on highest settings.
