Forum Discussion
Dear EA Support,
At 03/12/2019, after spending an entire day to collect bank, rep, challenges and customize my cars, I wanted to look for some community designs for my car. At that moment, it gave an error that it can not sync offline data with online data, with just a confirmation button.
As soon as I confirmed, my entire game was destroyed. Not only I was missing over 1million bank, but over 25 cars, from which my main cars, also most of my cars in storage are corrupt (Actual missing pieces, hoods, tires) and if I attempt any sort of customization the game just crashes.
What I am experiencing is truly unpleasant, even more so, I have contacted your online support where I have been transferred numerous times without anyone giving me but a hint of what is going on. I would appreciate it if someone shares recovery procedure, as I can not even play the game at the minute.
I've tried every forum shared solution for PS4 and none of them actually worked for me.
Please feel free to check my PSN account (Listed in my EA profile, and reach out for a solution via e-mail)

I tried this solution and it didn’t work for me. I had 12 cars and 900k. It kept my rep level at 50 and story/map progression but my cars, money, character, and all ultimate and ultimate + parts are reset. I can’t even launch a solo or online session I get a infinite loading screen that won’t go away. And on the home screen my car isn’t even rendered in its missing parts everywhere. I’ve put countless hours into this game. I’m almost finished getting platinum for this game. My game is literally unplayable I can’t even play if I wanted to grind all my stuff back. Is there any temporary solution to what I’m experiencing??
- 6 years ago@XoTiC_kOaLA_bEaR I'm sorry to hear that, mate. Sadly, even tho the game is unplayable I did not receive technical assistance from EA staff, so I can't give you hopes there.
I did however delete the game and the save, that let me start a new, but only to end up with a new, separate error. So even that might not be much help.
I've already given up on it, but wish you luck, maybe in a few months they would fix it up!

I'm sorry to hear that my experiment didn't work for you. I may have a few more steps you can try. If they do not work then you'll have to wait until the appropriate patch is released that fixes the issue all of you are experiencing.
Steps
- Uninstall the game
- Reinstall the game
- Perform the rebuild database steps I have listed above.
- Go back into the game, and when you load up the main menu go into a solo session. Your cars and everything else should be there. Go out into freeroam, and come back in.
- When you are back in the garage. Exit to the main menu, and try to load into an online session. If it asks you to upload your local inventory. Select "Yes"
- Your progress should be back after this. If it does not work I'll try to find some other methods that may work.
It's always a good practice to upload your saves to PS Plus all the time. Just in case something like this happens.
Cheers!

- 6 years ago@Vankryst Well, to add to this experience. I have now accepted there wont be any return of progress and decided I will start the game again, deleting it, deleting the save and starting all clean.
I wasn't even trying to play offline, but now, it seems the game disconnects from the servers with DR1010 error as well. After collecting almost everything in the game, giving it another chance just to find yet another issue, is truly disappointing.
And since EA staff told me there's no process to escalate official complaint and advised me to write that in the forum- here I am. Sharing how unpleasant my experience with this product was.
As much as I am a big fan of the franchise, this has been the most unpleasant experience with games that I have ever had.
