"There's been a problem changing password/email"

Question

I'm getting nowhere with seeing other people in game - I'm thinking now that I put an incorrect password against an old email address. The system won't let me change anything, just says there's been a problem. I think everything is correct because if I change anything it says password/email incorrect.

Is there any way to set the game to ask for an account like first time start up? I've done an uninstall and a revoke and neither helps with that.

Any other suggestions appreciated.

What is your platform? The only message send by the system that I think about is "More than one account detected." 
Have you seen this particular message at any point?

I'm on Xbox One - the message comes when you attempt the change, new password and confirmation and current password and then press ok and gives the problem message. If I alter something to be incorrect it states password/email is incorrect. But when I do it right it says the problem.

And no not seen that message 🙂

Maybe you just have to set-up a security question and answer.
I think this is the reason why there is an error message especially if you haven't logged into your account in some time.
