To the people who says NFS Heat sucks, STOP it!

NFS Heat isn't that bad. I don't get why people hate this game just because they think that the update is bad, there's no Toyota, drifting is hard, and other things they complain about. The game isn't even pay to win. Well I would understand if it was NFS No Limits, since that game is a big pay to win which is why people hate it, but I mean Heat? No way! It's not even pay to win. EA already stated that it has no loot boxes. Okay, it's also because of the microtransaction which caused the game to be dead. Why? NFS Heat actually doesn't have microtransactions at all. Which is why they can't pay much money for licensing new cars, paying voice actors for the story mode, and etc. That is why NFS Heat's update is so bad because it didn't have much money. I am still thankful that I still get to play NFS Heat because it has no microtransactions, but still, a game with no microtransactions, although people hate it, might still be bad, and game developers would not earn money. Compare this game with Genshin Impact, NFS Heat never had microtransactions, but it had paid DLC packs, but that's it. DLC packs is just a want in the game. They want it for a new McLaren F1. But that's it. It's not like NFS No Limits that you have to always spend gold just to progress properly (which is why this game has more updates). Now Genshin Impact has primogems to purchase in order to pull for a better 5 star character. This is why Genshin also has better updates. But NFS Heat didn't since it had no microtransactions. Also, compare this game with Payback. NFS Payback has loot boxes, which is why people hated this game too, and that is why it had better updates and more cars. Now you got your answer, so it wasn't EA's fault for that. I also think that's why EA did not add loot boxes in Heat because they didn't want to players to get pissed from pay to win microtransactions again, just like from other EA and NFS games. I know EA tried their best, but sometimes things went wrong. But I can't blame EA for that.

    @Chizou2023 I honestly think the game is fantastic. I have a few qualms with how they've implemented cross platform play, and player connections. Whether that's a development issue or a shortsightedness issue I can't say. But overall, the implementation of the different day modes, limited currencies to keep track of, and clear progression, it's a well done game. Although I would ask for the ability to play the actual game more than once.

    @GUCCIxADIDAS Okay, so that's your opinion, right? For me, in my opinion, I am lucky that NFS Heat isn't pay to win like Payback or No Limits, otherwise if it is, then I am going to complain about it like what I did to No Limits.

    It doesn't have a complete story

    It doesn't have a screen shake off button

    It doesn't have car balance, moreover one car is leagues better than the rest

    It doesn't have fair cop chases

    It does at least have fun races, but that doesn't matter when every time that the steer button is moved, the screen moves with it

    It does at least have customization

    It doesn't have tuning, everything is preset minus camber and the barely working downforce

    It does at least have a M3 GTR Race Car, but wait, it can't be customized

    So why shouldn't I say that the game isn't all that great?.  Sure it doesn't suck, but it isn't exactly a fun NFS game that will live on through the ages either.  

    I'll tell you now.  With the exception of a NFS Underground 2 remaster, I won't be buying anymore NFS games.  I'm done throwing away money on a NFS that will never be; it's nothing more than a carrot on a stick.

    @ZeroMcDol Okay, so it doesn't have a complete story becuz after Torres executed Mercer, Ana talked to the player saying that she saw Mercer and now they're thinking if he is dead, right? Well, if you were listening, she said that nope, it was an old man with white hair like Mercer, but she was still shaking because what if it was him? Well, yeah, you might never know if it is his true identity, but the player said to Ana to forget everything about Mercer since he doesn't exist anymore in the Palm City Police Department. I haven't finish the story mode, but I watched some NFS Heat videos about it in YouTube.

    @ZeroMcDol Also the M3 GTR, Eddie's Skyline R34, and Rachael's 350Z has no customization becuz they are iconic and already have customization. If you're talking about changing the stance, using a wrap, changing the plate number, they already have their own, so you cannot change it.

    @GUCCIxADIDAS Then I probably think we should expect EA this time to add it. NFS No Limits I guess has a free wrap customization for the M3 GTR.

    Very close but missing one thing.  What I mean is that the specialized vehicles have no options to tune the engine sound.  I had to use the regular M3 with an 4.0 V8 engine swap just to get the sound that I originally wanted out of the M3 GTR race car.  While this is small, it's very significant when the sound that I got from tuning is considered. 

    Anyone who's played MW 2005 should know exactly the sound that I was aiming for when I tune the sound of the 4.0 V8.  The M3 GTR race car doesn't have that option and as far as iconic goes, the livery is popular however..; had I the option I'd do my own, simple as that.  I never used the M3GTR race car livery, not even when I played MW 2005, back in the day.  I removed the livery, since I don't subscribe to popular and want my own look.

    As to everything else that I said.  Consider NFS Underground 2.  The tuning - weight reduction which has long been forgotten - front / rear individual downforce settings - the customization - pretty much everything necessary to get the handling that you want from a car, minus camber.  Consider the story - the buildup - the progression - the end.  Consider the city - how the traffic spawns.  Consider the races - the easy to learn handling that even driving with the stock settings is a solid driving experience.  Need For Speed Underground 2 was designed with not only customization in mind, but very fulfiling and very detailed tuning.  The game was very much about tweaking, tuning, and getting your car running the way that you want to.

    Now consider NFS Heat and pretty much every NFS after underground 2.  Presets.  Sure the customization was there, but NFS isn't just about piling on a kit, piling on parts, adjusting downforce, brakes, and steering sensitivity, and going to a race; it was about deep customization (or at least, underground 2 was).  Story.  2015 was solid, Payback was solid, sort of; they removed the silent protag and any idea that you, the player, were in said city.  Heat, not bad but I prefer the silent protag, however the end left all kinds of holes in the story.  Not to mention nausea inducing screen shake, why EA, just why; it makes no sense.  

    The difference is huge between the old vs the new, and this isn't old school nostalgia talking, since I still have a working PS2 in 2021.

    So I dunno dude.  The game doesn't exactly have that something to keep me playing.  As to everyone else well, the player count speaks for itself.  Most have moved on, some stay because they really like and enjoy the game (and why not, it's not a bad game), but in the end the number of players that play this game now is quite low.
