Unable to access online content due to Origin error.

The subject of the matter is as has been stated in the title, and it is in particular related to NFS: Rivals being unable to recognize that I am as a matter of fact logged into Origin and thereby not allowing me to access its respective online features.

In the course of this recent headache I have tried to logout and relog, reinstalled both the game and Origin from scratch, made sure that my connection is stable (which it is), included both game and Origin launcher to my Firewall exceptions and rebooted my computer several times throughout this procedure to no avail (I am furthermore not using any proxy services or similar devices that might obfuscate my connection). It is by all means certain that was logged into the Origin service during all of my attempts, so this point should be expected to be excluded from all discussion. I am fully aware that similar problems have been brought up in the past, but much to my dismay there seems to be no set solution for this issue, due to which I am compelled to enquire directly for a possible remedy.

A screenshot of my problem along with the resulting error message may be found here: http://puu.sh/7cOhD.png (Nothing really happens when pressing 'Ok', except that I am returned to the settings screen - Still in offline mode. There is no way for me to input my credentials manually in the game.)

The error code for my particular worry is 80210000. I am hoping for sound and helpful advice.

Regards,

CNP

    Cutenotpedo -
I have tried to trigger this message while being offline in Origin but I did not see this error.

    But here are some suggestions.

Open Origin Go to Application settings > Origin In game >  uncheck Enable Origin In Game and try again.

Also, there is another (but very similar) issue that occurs mostly with the Origin client (not in-game.)

I provide the link so you can try the solutions if you want:

Thank you very much for your time. I have briskly applied your first suggestion, and though I am unable to claim that it served my purpose I did encounter something peculiar while trying to apply your second one. As I was trying to reset my hosts files, I noticed that they were not existing in the folder mentioned by you on this earlier occasion, and furthermore that they were not simply invisible for I have applied your advice in regards to exposing hidden files - All of which would lead me to believe that some kind of error occurred during their initial generation, thereby making the system unable to properly recognize my connection to Origin services.

Should you have any information in regards to the acquisition of those files, or perhaps even be able to supply them, I would very much appreciate it.
