Unable to paint all of the derelict Mustang

I'm unable to paint all og the derelict Mustang into one color. The doors and the roof remains rusty and old, but the rest of the car is fully customisable, which is quite annoying.

    You have to fix it into a new part. Can't remember exactly where the option for the roof is,but just keep looking around the car in the customization menu and you'll find it (Probaly it is in the roof)

    Same....I can change all the parts back into the rust-bucket parts so that the car matches but...that's about it.,

    In the optical tuning area you can change the roof. That will add a "new paint" to the roof and doors.
