@ZeroMcDol On-rail grip is what Blackbox had in mid 2000s.Since both Criterion and Fake Criterion/Ghost use Brake 2 Drift handling only OP boost can let Rubber-banding happen.

It definitely is, which is why I've ignored NFS UG1, Carbon, NFS MW 2005, and pretty much, most NFS Games after UG2.  NFS UG2 gets a pass, since the rubber-banding is far less of a pain and has difficulty options that actually makes a difference.
