Voice chat issue

Some people seem to ask about voice chat and how to disable it or mute other players. Nobody's asking: How to chat with other people/use a headset microphone in NFS The Run? (If it is so obvious that nobody asks about it then perhaps you can help)

I have tried to connect headset to speaker and microphone jack, bluetooth microphone through USB and even earphones to speaker jack.

Currently I'm using Sony's Wireless Pulse Headset with USB connector so I hope you can help me with that. I've noticed that other players that use voice chat have a flashing speaker icon next to their name. I've never had that. For some reason i just can't use voice chat.

    seriosly still no answer to this? I want to know too and can't find an answer anywhjere that doesn't involve tossing this game in the trash.
