Voices of other gamers

Why can I hear people talking through my speakers when I'm playing need for speed rivals, it's not good enough I can't use the game without people coming through my speakers I don't use a head set and have not asked to have contact with other gamers, if I can here them can other people here me. I believe this to be a massif security risk and also I don't want my kids to here people swearing and shouting through my game it's mentioned to be pegi 7 it's meant to be safe for kids! Sort it out EA your one of the biggest company's in gaming and your meant to be a trust worthy company, iv lost faith in EA and won't be using any of your games in the future,

Hi thanks for your reply yeah been looking for settings but can't even find any audio settings other than on the ps4, if I turn the head set volume off or down I get nothing through my head set or speakers and I,e no in game car noises no chat,
I'll keep looking,

You can turn off voice chat in the ingame audio settings.

Also, which console are you using? Off the top of my head, on Xbox you can choose home>settings> privacy, and find an option for a global voice mute. This may help with other games where you have the same issue.

you can also(on 360) press right on the D PAD, go to friends or players, right again, and mute them from there.. but you have to do it when not in the garage.. and risk getting busted because thers no fkn pause in this game

Hi there sorry forgot to say I'm on ps4.
It's not the in game talking like me and mates talking through head sets it's random voices and general noise like when some one phones you by accident with there phone in there pocket and you can hear every thing near the phone, that's what iv got coming through my speakers intermittently some times it's Russian some times it's American and Indian maybe? I'm in the uk. thanks for your reply iv tried looking for settings in need for speed but unable to find any settings

That is voip coming from other people who are in the public game you are currently in.
This can be turned off via the audio settings ingame.
If there are no other people in your game then there is something wrong with your local setup.

Thanks for your help everyone iv managed to turn off the chat and it's stopped the rubbish coming through my speakers I can't use chat in game now or hear anything through my headphones but it's better than it was.

Press options on your controller->R1 twice->Audio Settings, and set "Voice Chat" to "Off".
