We need cops in free roam

I was really surprised how good and smart the police are in Payback. The sadder I am that there are no pursuits in the free ride as then in Most Wanted or Carbon.
The Police Chase are really fun in Payback, so it is a pity that you can not enjoy the police the way it used to be.
Please Ghost Games, add police in free roam!

Besides, this was done once before in NFS World Online and the community got aggravated by it so EA pulled it!

BLVD69 has a point. If the AI isn't good, having cops in free-roam becomes an annoyance, and the cop AI in Payback is very much not good.

I still think the best way to go about it is to simply make bait crates available anytime. Or better yet, add new locations on the map where you can simply trigger a police chase with no destination, where you have to actually escape the cops. They'd have to change the spawn rates and implement a new escape system but it really wouldn't kill them to do some work for a change...
